Dear Friends
Sorry for short notice: Tonight's Highgate Library Civic & Cultural Centre hybrid event – on Zoom and with a limited audience in the hall: is at 7pm on Thursday 10th February: "Forgotten Wives" – with Ann Oakley - who examines the ways in which marriage has contributed to the ‘disremembering’ of women’s achievements. Ann Oakley examines the conventions of history and biography-writing using case studies of the wives of well-known men – Charlotte Shaw, Mary Booth, Jeannette Tawney and Janet Beveridge. Join us to hear Ann talk about her book. You can book here: https://www.fohl.org.uk/events
